Tetrathlon Report

Heather Ridland won the Scottish Championship at Auchlishie in July as well as a special trophy for the best 15 year old competing at Open. It was poignant as she was presented with a new trophy donated by the Brewsters (Strathearn PC) for the open girls and boys classes. It was Morag Brewster who first suggested Tetrathlon to us when we stayed with them the first time we competed at games at Blair Atholl eight years ago.

Heather then went on to compete for the Scottish Region at Bradwell Manor, Sandbach in August, where the team were second and at the National Championships at Moreton Morell, where she was 24th out of a field of about 200.

The Winter series kicked off with a Triathlon run by Dumfries PC in October. We managed some training sessions in advance, which were well supported. Heather was third in the Open Class, Claire Gaffney was 15 out of 29 in the Junior Class and Chelsea Gaffney and Cecile Dodds were fourth and seventh in the Mini Mini Class.

Well done also to Mhairi Templeton who was 6th in the running in the Mini Mini’s and to Zoë and Caitlin Dodds who also competed in the Mini Class.
