Pony Club Championships:
Sansaw 2004

Tuesday
Games - well done to the Junior A's; they were competing in the Junior National Championships and finished 2nd.
Our senior B team finished up 8th in the Senior Runners up Championship, with West Perthshire 1st meaning 2 Scottish teams have again qualified for HOYS.

Dressage - Rory Boswell was riding in Arena F - he finished 2nd (1st placed Senior Rider in the arena).
The first 2 from each arena go forward to a ride off to decide individual placings. Rory was not expecting getting the place in the ride-off and after a rush to get ready in time he did a good test to finish 10th.
The L&R team finished 15th, with Lois Young 4th in Arena A.
Dressage Results

Wednesday
Show jumping: Hannah Hunter was competing for Eglinton - and finished 12th individual. There were very few clear rounds - Hannah unfortunately had a stop in the first round, but recovered well to have a great second round.
Lanark & Renfew's team finished 6th.
SJ Results

Thursday
Eventing: Rory Boswell on Rio also qualified for the eventing. The going was very deep after significant amounts of rain over the previous few days, but the decision was made to run.
Rory led his arena after dressage, with a great score of 26.3, and continued to perform well as he jumped clear round Cross-Country- just picking up 2 time faults, but unfortunately it didn't go well in the final part - 4 fences down show jumping pushed Rory back into 8th place.
L&R team didn't do too well - finishing 22nd out of 31 teams. But there was a good performance by Samantha Whiteford to finish 7th in her arena.
Rory has had a string of successes in BE events and made the Scottish JRN team which went to Weston Park to compete over the intermediate 3-day course. He led after dressage, completed roads and tracks and steeplechase sections, but sadly his horse was lame, with a bruised sole, in the 10 minute box before the XC and was withdrawn.
