Team Showjumping @ Sandyflats
Well done to our teams who were competing at Sandyflats. This was the first event of the Winter SJ series 2002/3, and we had 6 teams of four competing throughout the day.
The weather over the day was changeable - a wet morning followed by a showery afternoon - which meant everyone got a bit wet with the outdoor warm-up!
Here's how we did:
A's: Chelsea Burns, Kirsty Wrightson, Rachel Offer & Laura

B's:
Euan Hammersley, Mary Pearson, Lucinda Stewart & Rachel Offer. (photo

The A's finished in fourth place with faults from the first
round but the B's were one of two teams finishing on a score of 0 going
through to a third round jump-off.
The jump-off was with East Stirling - we came second in after an unfortunate
3 faults.

Our A team got faults in both rounds finishing on 8 - in
equal 5th place, a jump-off saw Lucy a second quicker over a twisty course
taking 5th.
The B's finished the second round without faults - tying for first woth L&R.
Again a tight jump-off saw Katie take first place as L&R knocked a fence
down - giving Eglinton first place.

done to Hannah who won the individual Dengie competition - qualifying
for the Area Final at Rowallan on Sunday 8th March.

The B team were eliminated in the second round after 2 riders failed to complete the course, but the A's had all 4 riders clear over both rounds! This was enough to win the competition giving us our second win of the day
