Two of our Camp instructors have written a brief summary of Camps - Tina for Seniors, and Julia for the Juniors.

With the exception of the weather Senior Camp this year seemed to be a
great success. Our visiting instructors kept the top ride on their toes and
proved very popular, I hope that we can do a similar thing next year.
The instructors had to work extra hard this year, finding things to do with
everyone because of the inclement weather and I hope that some of the stable
management and lectures that you received will be remembered and used to your
advantage in the future.
If you should have any ideas which you think could be included in next years
Camp, then please do not hesitate to let me know. I hope to see you all there
next year.

Junior
Camp was a welcome release from the gloomy shadow cast by the threat of
FMD at the start of the year. Many ponies (and their little jockeys) were
less fit than normal but, still eager to enjoy the Camp.
Then the skies darkened and the rains came
In fact, the Juniors (and their tough wee ponies) were far less bothered by
rain, the slippery ground and the mud than the Seniors were (with their big
posh horses).
Wellies were the ultimate fashion accessory this year but the Juniors didn't
miss a single lesson due to the adverse weather. They simply put on more layers
of clothing and less fly repellent!
The Pony Club achievement badges proved extremely popular once again. Look
out for them displayed on PC sweatshirts.
Mr and Mrs Ridland ran the tetrathlon for the Juniors and this was particularly
popular with the boys - they even enjoyed running in the rain.
By the end of the week we could see an improvement in everyone.
It is the Pony Club members' enthusiasm that keeps the instructors going. It
is always great fun to help and teach such a cheerful group of children.
Julia.
