Area Eventing 2002
Seniors
Area team – Adam Pawson, Nicola Jamieson and Rory Boswell.
Individuals – Karene Miller and Fiona Alexander.
Following
training at Strathearn and Auchinleck all five had been competing at British
Eventing (BE) events, but the Area at Henderside, Kelso was held over a new
XC course on one of these rare hot and sunny summer days!
The S.J. followed XC and was over a tight, technical course – there were only two clear rounds – one of which belonged to Karene Miller, who won the Senior Individual competition, with Fiona Alexander coming 5th . Lanark and Renfrew – our neighbouring branch – were the winning team.
Karene went to Sansaw Park for the National Championships and came a brilliant
4th in the individual copmetition. L&R were also delighted with their
day – winning the team competition with all their members also placed
individually.

Novice
Challenge Eventing
We had two teams competing in the Novice Challenge Area qualifier - but sadly
neither were placed over a testing course - larger than the one at the Championships!
Hannah Hunter was 4th and Jayne Geddes 5th individually. Both
were in the Eglinton team invited to compete at the Novice Challenge Championships.
